I just want to tell you very briefly about top attractions in Fort Lauderdale! It just bugs me when everyone is able to list at least a couple of things to see in Miami but they can barely show Fort Lauderdale on a map. But I'm digressing. Here's the list!
As a lover of cars, I must tell you a thing or two about the Antique Car Museum! The vehicles you can see in there are awesome! If you are interested in the history of the American car industry then it is simply a must-see! But that's obviously not everything there is to see. While in the city, you have to go and pay a visit to Buehler Planetarium. If you are fascinated with space and stars as I am, you will find a trip there not only entertaining and memorable, but also very informative. The visual and sound effect they will bombard you with are top-notch, not to mention the interesting content they provide together with the packaging. Then you can take your kids to one of the fishing piers. Even if you don't have kids you'll still going to have tons of fun. There are many such services available so you will surely find something that suits you most. Just remember to take your sea-sick pills with you! Fan of football? No problem, go to the Dolphins Stadium. Home to Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins (a baseball team), this stadium will definitely fall to your liking. I bet that pictures you will take there will be one of your favorites from your stay there! I could also tell you about Gulfstream Park, International Swimming Hall of Fame, Museum of Discover and Science, and many, many other things, but there are literally hundreds of such attractions in Fort Lauderdale and I would probably run out of oxygen before I could finish. Watch this video to get a small glimpse of Fort Lauderdale!
As a final remark I will also give you one commuting advice. Forget about buses and taxis. Use shuttle services. They are very popular in Florida so you will be able to travel comfortably from attractions to hotels or, especially, airports.
